Parish of St Andrew Barbados

 


 

Farley Hill Park is another place of scenic beauty, where the remains of a great house are located. The house used in the film "Island in the Sun" with Harry Belafonte. 

 


Driving in Barbados is easy, though they do drive on the left, but please remember that on most roads there are no pavements (sidewalks) so please be aware of pedestrians or cyclists and also be aware that some houses face directly onto the road, the owners of which could step out straight onto on coming traffic. 
  

St Andrew - Also known as the Scottish District

This area is the most mountainous part of the island and has some wonderful views from the hills down to the East Coast. Here you will find one of the last working mills in Barbados Morgan Lewis Mill also vist the Wildlife reserve, where you will see a variety of animals including the now famous green monkeys indigenous to barbados (please keep hold of your sunglasses as it seems the monkeys like wearing them aswel).

 

 

 As you drive around this parish there is opportunity for spectacular photograghic views around every corner and over every hill.
